How to Order Custom Embroidered Shirts for Your Business
4 min readOrdering custom embroidered shirts for your business doesn't have to be complicated. Whether you're outfitting a 12-person sales team, planning a 200-piece event giveaway, or building a multi-style corporate uniform program — the process is the same five steps. This guide walks through each one.
Order minimum: from 1 piece. Production: 1-2 business days for single samples, 3-5 business days for bulk orders (50+ pieces) after artwork approval. Standard 1-3 day shipping or rush available.
Step 1: Choose Your Garment
Start with the right blank. The garment type drives the program — fabric quality, decoration method, and unit cost all depend on the base piece.

Vector files (.SVG, .AI, .EPS) are best — they scale to any size without quality loss. High-resolution raster files (.PNG, .JPG at 300 DPI minimum) work too but won't scale as cleanly.
- Vector preferred: .SVG, .AI, .EPS, .PDF
- Raster acceptable: .PNG, .JPG (300 DPI minimum)
- No vector? We vectorize standard corporate logos free as part of setup.
- Single-color works best: embroidery uses thread, so 1-3 colors translates best. Multi-color complex logos may need simplification or DTF instead of embroidery.
Step 3: Decide on Placement & Size
Most corporate uniforms use left chest embroidery — 3.5-4 inches wide × 2-2.5 inches tall, centered ~7-8 inches down from shoulder seam.
- Left chest (standard) — 3.5″W × 2.5″H, 6-12k stitches
- Right chest — alternative if cobranding (Nike Swoosh on left, your logo right)
- Full back — 10″W × 12″H, switch to DTF print (embroidery this size = $40+ per piece)
- Cap front — 4″W × 2.25″H structured / 5″W × 2.5″H pro caps
- Apron chest — up to 4″W × 7″H for stacked logo + tagline
Step 4: Select Your Quantity
Volume drives price-per-piece. Tiers typically drop at:
- 1-24 pieces: standard pricing, perfect for samples + small teams
- 25-49 pieces: -5% volume discount
- 50-99 pieces: -10% volume discount
- 100-249 pieces: -15% volume discount
- 250+ pieces: -20% volume discount + dedicated production scheduling
Step 5: Place Your Order & Approve the Proof
- Order via product page with custom configurator (color + size + decoration) — or submit a multi-style quote at contact.
- Artwork review (1 business day) — we email a digital mockup showing your logo on the actual garment color.
- Production starts after your written approval. 1-2 days single sample, 3-5 days bulk.
- Shipping — Standard 1-3 day or Economy 3-7 day via UPS/USPS.
- Reorders — your logo + customer profile saved. Future orders ship without re-digitizing or re-quote.
Turnaround Time — End-to-End
- Single-piece sample: 6-10 business days total (artwork day 1 + production 1-2 + shipping 1-3)
- Bulk order (50-150 pieces): 8-12 business days total
- Large program (250+): 10-14 business days total with dedicated scheduling
- Rush production: available on request for event deadlines — typically completes 1-3 days production
